  What a joy to have Trina Johnson back in the teaching profession! I have had the pleasure of working side by side with Trina for many years. Any child who has the great opportunity to learn from her is lucky. Trina knows the value of developing the whole child and therefore, is intentional in addressing developmental (social emotional, physical, and language) and academic areas. Trina develops caring and nurturing relationships with her young students in order to guide them along as they build up their ability to self regulate, problem solve, and think creatively. Being a former primary teacher, Trina is aware of the knowledge and skills young children need to access school curriculum in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. She is strategic in assessing the strengths and background that young children posses and building on these with the supports the child needs.
